An accidental shooting took place in Riverside County yesterday when a sheriff’s deputy was approached by a dog.
According to a spokesperson, the deputy was trying to serve court documents to a home at around two in the afternoon. The deputy was approached by a dog who came at him aggressively.
The deputy didn’t know what the little mutt was capable of, so he pulled out his gun and tried to shoot the four-legged criminal.
But the bullet didn’t hit the dog. The bullet hit the deputy right in his leg. He had to be taken to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening and he’s expected to make a full recovery. The dog was not harmed, and the police will not charge the dog’s owner.
We can only imagine how much grief his co-workers are going to give him. Probably surprise him with a collection of Air Bud movies for his birthday.
Throw in this little ‘life is ruff’ mug to complete the deal…
