When Nancy Fredickson was approached by three teens with a gun, she stood completely still. Nancy, a black belt, has studied martial arts for 25 years, and she claims her expertise helped her make it out alive.
Fredickson was removing something from her trunk when the three boys approached her. One of them pointed a gun in her face. “He goes, ‘I want your keys’ and I thought it was a joke!”
But she quickly realized this was no joke,
“He says ‘I want your keys!’ I says ‘There right here on the ground.’ I had thrown them down like that.”
The three teens got into her car, believing they were about to make a clean getaway. However, things didn’t go quite as planned.
“I got a 5-speed in there, and they couldn’t figure out how to get it going.”
That’s right, they couldn’t figure out how to work a stick shift. The suspects had to flee the scene on foot, surveillance cameras captured the three teens running through a parking lot.
Sadly, Seattle police don’t have clear descriptions of the suspects. They are hoping someone will come forward with more information about the case.
But still, things turned out pretty well for Fredickson.
“I said I gotta have my car keys. And I looked in and they had left them in the ignition.”
How sweet of them.
