Honestly, I’m not sure why I find these little food miniatures so interesting. I can guarantee you that I will never have use for these ever. I will never have a doll house, I will never need full size fake food let alone mini-fake food. But somehow I’m still intrigued. Why!!! Probably because they look so real and some one has got the patience of a Saint to create them. That someone goes simply by the name KIM.
She basically said that she started making these miniatures back in 2008 from a book she read called “Making doll House Miniatures with Polymer Clay”. (I’m sure you are all running out to buy it right now!)
She describes her hobby as an obsession, I say it’s a sickness. These things are smaller than a quarter and realistic as hell. Each one of these mini masterpieces take about 1-3 hours and she uses only a needle, chalk pastels and a sharp razor blade.
She sells these pieces on her Etsy account anywhere from $12 to $42.
I certainly won’t be buying any from her, but from the look of all her orders and great feedback, she’s not worried about my $42, she has plenty of customers.
