77-year-old Peter Rizzuto is a simple man from Colorado. He (probably) enjoys watching The Price Is Right while snacking on cheese sandwiches. And since he’s approaching 80, he also likes taking naps in the middle of the day.
Rizzuto decided to move his nap session last week to his deck. It was a nice afternoon. Why not? He quickly fell asleep, but his peaceful nap didn’t last long. A large creature approached him and began nibbling on his ankle.
And since he was still half asleep, Rizzuto thought this hairy creature was his neighbor’s dog. He told the Aspen Times the following…
“I thought it was a German shepherd. I started petting it and saying ‘nice doggy.’ It then took my ankle but didn’t break the skin. Then I saw and looked down at his feet, and I see these big claws with really beautiful nails, and at this time I realize he’s a bear.”
But thankfully this bear didn’t find Rizzuto’s ankle appetizing. “He sort of backed up and looked at me, and I looked at him.” He told the paper. And that was it. End scene. The man went back inside and the bear went off to do bear things.
He should have snapped a selfie.
