Technology has certainly made it easier to solve crimes. Hidden cameras are always catching burglars in the act, but investigators in England didn’t need any help from technology when Andrew Mark Connor decided to steal from a second-hand store.
When police entered the building, they noticed there were several items stolen from the store. In addition to the missing items, there was a tin of white paint that had been knocked over inside the store.
Connor walked right through the spill and ended up leaving a trail of white footprints all the way to his house. When they knocked on his door, they discovered he had white paint all over his shoes and the stolen items from the store were located inside his backyard.
They were able to make the arrest within 30 minutes of the crime being reported. This incident happened back in February. Connor was forced to pay $144 to the owners of the store, and he was served with a community rehabilitation order.
This just goes to show you…never trust a man with three first names. Two is suspicious enough, but three? You’re asking for trouble.
