45-year-old Sharon Heinrich and her friend Helen Salter were having some fun in the sun the other day in an Australian wine region. They were cycling side by side along a tourist route when they noticed a large kangaroo standing off to the side.
When they passed the monster, it bounced across the trail and smashed Heinrich’s left torso before hopping off. And even though the kangaroo attacked her, Heinrich claims it looked peaceful.
“He looked peaceful. He didn’t look angry,” she told reporters. She then joked about how her breast implants worked as airbags during the kick and run.
“As I’m falling, I felt him push off me and then he’s flown to Helen and taken her out. They worked as air bags and have been ruptured by the ordeal.”
She broke three ribs during the fall and planned to have surgery last week to replace her ruptured breast implants. Her friend suffered concussion and whiplash. Even though she was injured herself, she managed to cycle back to a nearby business to call an ambulance for Heinrich and her broken boobs.
The good news is that both ladies seem to be taking this beating with a smile. Heinrich’s husband surprised her with a stuffed toy boxing kangaroo. “It’s all you can do now. Laugh about it and heal,” she said.
Great attitude to have. That kangaroo couldn’t have picked a nicer person to smash.
