Some kids get their mother flowers for Mother’s Day. Some children might go all out and hook their mother up with a trip.
30-year-old Jordan Elizabeth Bercik got a trip for Mother’s Day. A trip to jail. She and her 16-year-old daughter were caught shoplifting by a security guard inside a Walmart in Pennsylvania. They were grabbing the items they wanted and sticking them inside Bercik’s purse.
In total, police found 19 items, valued at almost $100. Bercik is facing a number of charges including, retail theft, criminal trespass and corruption of minors. Her 16-year-old daughter will be charged in juvenile court.
Sadly, Bercik has a long history with the police. Back in April of 2015, police received multiple reports about possible drug activity inside her home. When the officers showed up with a search warrant, Bercik refused to open the door, so they were forced to use a battering ram to enter the home.
Once inside, they found Bercik with her then 15-year-old daughter. They were inside a bedroom with cash and heroin.
It’s honestly a sad situation. I mean, she had this child when she was just 14? She obviously hasn’t received much help. I hope they can make some changes. It’s never too late.
