We already told you about the teenager who got hit by a vehicle while playing Pokemon Go, and since that incident, the accidents surrounding the game have only increased.
Early Monday morning, a man playing the game while driving slammed into a parked police car, and he’s extremely lucky that the officer wasn’t inside the vehicle at the time. Thankfully, the officer was on the sidewalk talking to 3 or 4 other officers when the accident occurred.
The scary crash was caught on the officer’s body camera, and the Baltimore Police Department decided to release the video to remind people of the dangers of distracted driving.
It’s depressing that it’s taking videos like this to make people realize trying to catch f—king Pokemon while driving is not a safe thing to do. I don’t get it. IS IT REALLY THAT IMPORTANT? ARE YOU GOING TO TELL YOUR FUTURE GRANDCHILDREN ABOUT HOW MANY ANIMATED FIGURES YOU CAPTURED ON SOME APP?
They’re not going to care. It means nothing, and that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. Not everything you do has to mean something. Have fun…entertain yourself.
But don’t be stupid about it. You’re not going to die if you miss a Pokemon, but you will die if you drive your car off a bridge because you were looking down at your phone.
