There have been multiple people who have been fired from their job over something they posted on social media, and a Texas Roadhouse waitress named Megan Olson is joining the club.
She was apparently mad that a table didn’t leave her a tip, so she went on her Twitter account and posted this disgusting tweet…
Obviously people in her area saw the tweet, and residents started posting copies of the tweet to Texas Roadhouse – Greeley’s Facebook page. They wanted to alert the management there that they had a racist and possibly violent employee working for them.
One user advised management to “send her packin’,” and that’s exactly what they did. Olson was fired, and company spokesman Travis Doster told reporters the following…
“Our managing partner was actually mowing his lawn when he was alerted. He immediately rushed to the restaurant, met with the employee who posted this disgusting tweet and she was terminated.”
Olson is obviously avoiding requests from the media, but she did post an apology on her Facebook page.
“I wrote hurtful, inconsiderate, insensitive and careless words and I understand the amount of people I have offended by that. There are no excuses for what I have done. I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, apologize to everyone for my momentary lack of judgment. I want you all to know that I do not actually feel this way.”
You know, maybe she didn’t get a tip because of her attitude. She clearly expects less from a certain group of people, so when she is forced to serve them, she’s probably not treating them like every other table.
Hopefully Olson takes this time to step back and look at herself. We can’t imagine she likes what she sees.
