We’re not sure what the hell is going on in Oklahoma, but we do know we want nothing to do with it. An 8-year-old student at Gatewood Elementary in Oklahoma City had something pretty disturbing inside his backpack.
No, it wasn’t a clock. Believe it or not, it’s even more frightening than a clock.
The student brought a dead squirrel to school. He picked it up on his way to school because he thought his father might cook it for dinner.
According to the boy’s mother, Ladye Hobson, the boy’s father will occasionally make jokes about cooking squirrel dumplings for dinner. The boy obviously thought his father was serious.
A teacher found the squirrel inside the boy’s backpack and sent him to the office. From there, the principal, who found the incident hilarious, called Hobson to let her know about her son’s adventure.
“I really wanted squirrel dumplings for dinner,” he told the principal.
That’s when you know the world is too obsessed with meat. This kid just saw some dead rodent in the street and thought, “Damn. I bet that would taste really good!”
