A high school student in Oregon was eating at a Pita Pit in Beaverton the other day. She paid nearly $14 for her meal, which included a basket full of Miss Vickie’s Sea Salt & Vinegar Chips.
She noticed little black specks on the chips and thought it was pepper. But then, after eating a few of the chips, she discovered that it was actually dead ants. Obviously, she brought the food up to the counter and complained to the manager.
The manager insulted her by only offering her a new bag of chips. The girl left the store and decided to tweet about her experience, telling all of her followers to never go to Pita Pit.
After the tweet went viral, Pita Pit reached out to Wagoner on Twitter and offered her a $50 gift card, which might have pleased Wagoner had they offered that in the first place.
But based on how she was initially treated, she feels like a $50 gift card isn’t enough.
So what does she want? Well, she wants proof that the restaurant is ‘taking action’ with Miss Vickie’s to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.
At least they weren’t alive. #MrBrightSide
