There aren’t a lot of things to do in Mississippi, so when Zachary Wade Moore Jr. and his friends got drunk one night, their only source of entertainment was a lost puppy.
And for some reason, Moore thought it would be a neat idea to pick up the puppy, point a gun to his head and then take a photo for his friends on Facebook. The photo, which you see above, went viral and several people called the police to report it.
The police tracked Moore down over the weekend and he was forced to explain that the gun in the photo was fake. He then posted the video you see below to his Facebook page to explain everything.
“Look world, I’m sorry. It was a mistake. The dog was never harmed. I would never hurt a dog, animal at that. The gun was fake. Just me messing around on Facebook and it went way beyond out of control.”
He also smashed the plastic gun on the ground to prove it wasn’t real. The dog in the video was a runaway. The officers were able return the pup to its rightful owners, so this story does have a happy ending.
Just another day in Mississippi, folks. Nothing to see here.
