Clowns are freaking creepy. If you’re not afraid of clowns, it’s probably because you are a clown, and you should feel really terrible about your choices in life.
School officials in Alabama realize how terrifying clowns are, which is why they took threats coming in on social media seriously. Two schools in the state were on lockdown yesterday after receiving threats on Facebook. The threats being that clowns might show up at Shades Valley High School.
A second high school received a similar threat, only this one was called in and it was more specific. This threat claimed the clowns would show up to lure kids to the woods.
In both cases, police determined that the threats were not real. The strange part about this is that it’s been happening all over Alabama. Threats of clowns showing up at schools across the state are becoming a normal thing.
There have been so many threats that have come in, it’s hard to keep up with them all. Police have tracked down a few of the people responsible for the threats, and they’re warning everyone else.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office posted this on their Facebook page…
“The Sheriff’s Office has received numerous reports of social media posts of individuals making threats under the auspice of being clowns. These threats under Alabama Law could result in arrest for “Making a Terroristic Threat” which is a felony. School resource officers have identified several suspects that were making the posts and an investigation is currently ongoing.”
Hopefully that creepy clown in Green Bay has nothing to do with this.
