Most of the time, when a dude douses himself with AXE body spray, it’s because he believes it will help him get laid later in the night. It never does, though. It’s not good for anything, including covering up the smell of alcohol.
45-year-old Patrick David Butler was driving down a road in South Carolina when he jerked his vehicle to avoid hitting a curb. The officer behind him found this suspicious, so he followed him for a bit.
Butler continued to swerve and cross the center lane multiple times. After seeing the classic signs of drunk driving, the officer pulled Butler over. As the officer approached the vehicle, he saw Butler spraying the AXE body spray inside his mouth.
When he was asked about it, he told the officer that he was simply spraying himself from “head to toe.” He then admitted to the officers that he had two beers and a shot of Jack Daniels while watching some football with his buddies.
He was given three field sobriety tests and he failed them all. The officer arrested him and transported him to jail, where he blew a 0.13 on the breath test, which is above the legal limit.
The bad news? He was charged with driving under the influence. The good news? He smelled really fresh for the other inmates.
