It would have been nice to have this guy as a father. An amateur mechanic named Kyle Kuta decided to put his skills to the test earlier this year. He got a Power Wheels vehicle based on the Cadillac Escalade.
He replaced the 12-volt engine with a 5 horsepower 160cc Honda engine. And if you’re like me and know nothing about cars, it basically means the Power Wheels car goes really really REALLY fast now.
The toy car can now reach speeds of 40 mph, which means it’s no longer safe for children. Even the creator calls this thing a death trap…
“This is what you get when you cram a 5 horsepower 160cc Honda engine into a plastic Escalade made for a kid: an unstable 40 MPH death trap. The frame is made out of Unistrut, the wheels were meant for a wheel barrel, and the rest of it is just junk we had laying around the garage.”
Sounds legit. Can you imagine having this thing as a kid? You’d be the coolest kid on the block, you know, until you died in a horrible car crash.
But still, it would be worth it.
