Are people still starting titles with, “That awkward moment…”? I’m not sure, but it felt like the right thing to use in this situation.
A brilliant 25-year-old man named Kyle Blair wanted to steal a vehicle Monday evening. He just woke up in the morning and thought, “Gee…today feels like a good day to steal a car. There’s a nice breeze outside.”
So at around 6:30 p.m. he approached a vehicle with two men inside. He grabbed the driver and made an attempt to drag him out of the vehicle. That’s when the driver identified himself as a police officer and arrested Blair.
According to spokesman Cpl. Scotty Schumann, the officers were “big, burly men” so he’s not sure why Blair picked them as his targets.
“The suspect got the ride he wanted, but probably not to the location he was hoping for.”
Blair now faces charges of robbery and breach of probation. And if you’re wondering why this incident didn’t end with a fatal shooting, it’s probably because it happened in Canada.
