Well, some dude in North Carolina just caught the king of all catfishes. Riahn Brewington went fishing last week at Cape Fear River and he got the shock of his life.
He struggled with the 112-pound catfish for several minutes. It was an intense battle, and unfortunately Brewington won the battle. He managed to reel the beast in, which was pretty impressive because his friends claim his rod was pretty small.
As you can see, the fish is massive. He can barely hold it up to pose for the photos. According to the report, Brewington did release the fish “in hopes of catching a slightly bigger version of him one day.”
It was a strategic move on his part. You see, the state record for a catfish is 117 pounds, 8 ounces, so he’s hoping this catfish gains a few pounds before he decides to murder him.
It’s a love story, really.
He posted the photos to his Facebook page and his clever friends blasted the comments with crazy lines like, “Holy Catifsh!” and “Is this real life??”
Oh, you guys. You’re too much. Stop it.
